A look into the restaurants, sights, and outfits during my quick stay in one of my favorite cities...Charleston.

This look is such a go to for me. When I am roaming around i like to be very casual and comfortable, but I still want to look on trend and presentable. I think this is the perfect Saturday afternoon look, we walked around Charleston, shopped, went to lunch and I was comfortable all day in it. A lot of pieces in this look have quickly become staples in my wardrobe, along with some already established pieces I always wear.

For me, I can pair absolutely anything with a crisp white slide. I have been wearing these for years and have gone through at least 10 pairs of the same shoe. The ones I own are from Steve Madden, but H&M is always a good go to to find a white slide! I paired mine with a long sleeve romper. I LOVE a long sleeve with a short romper or ultra mini, I think the contrast of the long and short play so well together + it's a great way to show some skin without being overkill. To top this look off I added a pair of gold hoops, my black crossbody (current obsession) and my embroidered denim jacket (now on sale for $12.99!!)

In collaboration with Wild Blue I paired this pastel colored peasant top with my distressed white boyfriend jeans and white sneakers. Unsure how far we would be walking I played it safe with a whie slip on, but a lace up sandal would also be a great option for this sunset look!

For dinner we had big plans, meaning lots and lots of food. I opted for something a little more..loose to hide the 4 extra meals packed away. I paired my black silk + lace slip dress with this think kimono sweater from H&M. Keeping the monochromatic feel I grabbed my black crossbody and slipped on my tan suede boots. This is one of my favorite look I have worn out lately, I felt super comfortable and trendy, definitely something I will put together again!

For breakfast we went to a local coffee shop (a must when I travel), I love to check out local coffee shops whenever I visit a city. I am not the a big starbucks fan, I much prefer a small local cafe. I love getting the feel of the city I am in through their local eateries. I went with an all time favorite- the acai bowl + almond milk latte.

Lunch was easily one of my favorite meals I had in Charleston. We stopped at Gnome Cafe a local Vegan joint. I was so excited to try this place! The menu was so eclectic and diverse, they have everything from pastries to juice to lunch and breakfast and EVERYTHING is plant based! We ordered the Bulgogi Korean Bowl and Caesar Salad with cashew Parmesan "cheese". It was TOO good and I know it will definitely be a new go to when I am visiting.

As I mentioned earlier, we had BIG plans for dinner. We had reservations at one of the best steak houses in the country Halls Chophouse. It was the largest most satisfying meal I have had. THe service was absolutely amazing we did not lift a finger our entire time at the table, and the food was ungodly. I ordered the salmon (I know I ordred fish at a steakhouse) I am mostly plant based but I will eat seafood occassionaly, so i had an array of vegetables, salmon, and calamari. If ever in the Charleston area, and can get a reservation (they are crazy packed all the time!) I HGHLY reccomend having a meal here.
