SAVO + JUNE Turns 2!

I cannot believe how quickly time has flown! SAVO + JUNE has officially turned 2! I feel so thankful for starting this journey and having each and every one of you follow along! It has been both terrifying to put yourself out there and exhilirating for doing something that feels so natural to me. To celebrate SAVO's second birthday I am answering each and every one of your questions about blogging!

Q: Where did the name SAVO + JUNE come from?

A: I am 100% Greek and my culture is SUCH a big part of my life. SAVO + JUNE comes from the word savato (which translates to Saturday-my favorite day) and June which is my birth month!

Q: Do you blog full time?

A: Nope! I have a 9-5 job I work at Advantage Media & Forbes Books as a Social Media Strategist. I mainly work on my blog when I get home after work every day and during the weekends. I have made it a point to put my phone away when I am done and home because it can quickly become social media overload.

Q: Where do you find inspiration for your posts?

A: I am constantly on Pinterest, and site like Who What Wear, Refinery 29, Elle, Bloglovin and more. I love to soak in emerging trends and interpret them in my own way. I also blog along with my life. Surviving my 20's, new jobs, cooking, apartment, moving away from home. I try to keep it as real as I can

Q: How do you manage yout time and stay organized working and blogging?

A: I would love to say I am amazing at this...but I would be lying. I WILL say though that I am getting so so much better. I am very busy during my work day which leaves me no time to be able to squeeze any time for the blog from 9-5. I am the ultimate scheduler, I use the large Kate Spade Agenda and it has changed my life. I separate each day by blog/work/home and create a list for myself all the things I need to accomplish for the day under each category. So far it has made me much more productive!

Q: Where do you shop?

A: I do majority of my shopping online. Since moving to Charleston my "go-to" stores have definitely changed. I tend to shift away from buying so many trendy pieces each season and like to invest my money into those better quality basic pieces. My current favorite stores and brands are Madewell, Rag & Bone, FRAME, Joie, and Lucky. I shop online at Saks, Bloomingdales, The Real Real, Zara, Mango and my absolute go to/never fail me....H&M.

Q: What apps do you use to edit your photos?

A: UNUM - this helps me plan out my feed

VSCO- I use this to edit my Instagram photos - I love A4!

Snapseed- to make adjustments

Tailwind - I have not used to new automatic posting feature yet but I am sure this will change my life.

I am so happy to share the answers to the questions many of you have had, and at the end of the day, I am so thankful to be able to share my life and style with you all. I am thrilled to be able to share many many more years to come!
