Charleston Lunch List
My favorite spots in town to grab a bite to eat!
Charleston has quickly become a major food destination. Just when I think I have hit all the new places a next one pops up around the corner. AND THEY'RE ALL GOOD. With so many of you sending DM's my way asking for reccomendations in the Holy City I thought I would put together a little post rounding up a few of my favorite lunch spots. So without further ado...
The Lunch List.
One of my absolute favorite places in the city is Basic Kitchen. As a sucker for fresh, healthy, light-hearted dishes this little nook downtown has quickly become a staple for me. Not only are the dishes trendy, healthy and delish, you also get the dreamiest decor making you feel like your smack in the middle of Venice Beach. Basic Kitchen gives a nod to west coast decor and menu style. A few favorite call outs on the menu- buffalo cauliflower wings (to die for) beet juice margarita, Vietnamese chop salad, rainbow bowl & more! Whether it may be a girls brunch or date night there is something on the menu for everyone.
The Harbinger Cafe should absolutely be on your list when grabbing lunch or a cup of coffee. Harbinger is the perfect place for a casual sandwich and salad as per expected if you're getting a reccomendation from me, the decor is so quaint and cozy. I love the wide array of toast, salad, sandwich and pastry options all natural and healthy ingrediants. Plus they may or may not have the cutest coffee cup in town.
Millers All Day
Miller's All Day is next on the list. This is a new find for me and within seconds of walking through the door, I was instantly in an Instagram worthy heaven. The typical old-school diner decor has been given a new life with a trendy update you can expect to find a full-service bar, lounge area with records and more. The in-house coffee bar and photo booth also add to the many things that make Miller's stand out amongst the lunch crowd. The menu is simple, to the point, and classic. You can expect breakfast all day and lunch options such as BLT sandwiches, salads and more! Located on King St, shopping and other sights to see are just a short walk away!
The Daily is one of the first lunch spots I had been to when first visiting Charleston. With a perfect location on King St. this is an absolute must if you are looking for a filling healthy lunch. I have tried the toasts on the menu (these are deceivingly filling!) salads, sides, smoothies they've got so many fresh healthy options to choose from! The menu changes seasonally since all produce is provided by local farmers (that is my love language right there). A few of my favorites are the classic avocado toast, hummus bowl, and smoked salmon toast.
I love sharing some of my favorites from Charleston, I would love to know what else you would like to see from the Holy City! Leave a comment with suggestions below!
