Well hello everyone. It has been a HOT second since I have shared on the blog. I will be frank, the trend book has completely taken over my life..I am SO SO happy with all the amazing feedback you all have given me! I am so humbled and happy that you are soaking in the content and benefitting from it! While I do love to pop on here and share style tips and looks, the trend book is my little child. That being said I am looking forward to sharing them in the next months to come. Now lets talk midis.
I find fashion hilarious.. if you would have asked me a few years ago if I would be caught dead in a hemline longer than my middle thigh I would have laughed in your face. But nowadays I will pick a midi length over an ultra mini without hesitation. There is something so chic about a perfectly styled outfit that does not need to cheat and show your entire leg or chest. This season I am all about the longer hemline and playing with the fun prints that accompany it.
You all know by now print is not my thing. However, leopard to me is essentially a basic. If I am going for a print I will almost always reach for a good leopard, I love it done in a shoe, dress, accessory, I will take it all! For this look, I went for a bold leopard print Who What Wear midi with a deep v neck. For me personally, I need to show a little skin somewhere (if appropriate) when I am wearing so much fabric. Since I am petite I have to be cautious about my frame getting lost in the dress so if I can show a little bit of skin elsewhere I can remind myself and everyone else that I am in fact a woman and exist underneath this dress. To accessorize the look to my style I belted at the waist accentuating my shape, added my go-to gold accessories (I interchange my gold necklaces, hoops, rings, and bracelets- let me tell you this part of getting dressed is a freaking process to put every single one of these on, but fashion am I right) lastly I threw on my white sneakers to dress the look down (reference March Trend Book because I have an entire page dedicated to prints and sneaks, you can still sign up to get the March & April trend books here).
At the end of your day have fun with your look. Dress it up with knee-high boots, wear sneakers, a sandal, a heel. What I love about this trend is that it can be translated so many ways and with the right accessory, taken almost instantly from a casual to dressy look. As always you can shop the look and a few more printed midi options I am currently loving!
